Pillar 1. Bring a unique perspective, vision, and innovation to the board as a young professional ready for the next generation of leadership

● Filling the generation gap

o As a young person, I have seen first-hand the need for the next generation of leadership to step-up, and ultimately provide continuity to organizations and businesses.

o I am a product of the public schools quality programs, and its leadership, which I hope to continue to foster in the years to come

● Young Employee Talent

o   Districts across the county have been bringing some awesome young talent to fulfill faculty, staff and administrative roles, and I want to work with these folks to usher our schools through the dynamic future.

o   Build upon the amazing work done by all faculty and staff

o   The younger generation within the district is going to be instrumental in continuing the success of the district, and then taking it to new levels

Pillar 2. Support and deliver on better Career Technical Education and Vocational training for students

● Diversity in the County

o   The county serves a large geographical area which encompasses a variety of ethnicity, socioeconomic, culture, recreational activity, and behavior.

o   One size fits all, college preparatory student success pathway is not appropriate. Diverse and unique student success pathways will be a corner stone to meeting the diverse nature of our county and local area

● CTE Programs

o   I want to champion career technical educational programs, that will help students succeed in a chosen career path, or technical trade school

o   I want CTE programs to meet the needs of our local industries, such as, tourism, hospitality, viticulture, fire science/natural resources, outdoor recreation, and farming.

o   We need to be able to connect local industry with students and school programs throughout our county

Pillar 3. Prepare and support school districts in developing better emergency preparedness for the future .

● All voices heard

o It is imperative to me that all of our voices from the outlying communities are included in the discussion of our schools

● Collective Wisdom

o   As one of seven board members, I want to recognize the value and wisdom of fellow board members and ultimately use that collective wisdom to usher in continued success and educational continuity

o   Need to be a team player

● Community Reliance

o The success of the schools is instrumental in the overall health and vibrancy of the community…and that all starts with a strong governance structure
